حضرت ابو ہریره رضی الله عنه سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا آپ صلی الله علیه وسلم نے مجھ کو صدقه فطر کی نگہبانی پر مقرر فرمایا۔ اتنے میں ایک شخص آیا۔ وه لپ بھر بھر کر اس میں سے کھجوریں لینے لگا۔ میں نے اس کو پکڑ لیا اور میں نے کہا میں تجھ کو ضرور رسول الله صلی الله علیه وسلم کے پاس لے جائوں گا، چھوڑوں گا نہیں۔ پھر انہوں نے پورا قصه بیان کیا تو وه کہنے لگا۔ ابو ہریره! جب تو سونے کے لیے بچھونے پر جائے تو آیة الکرسیپڑھ لے۔ صبح تک الله کی طرف سے تجھ پر ایک نگہبان فرشته مقرر رہے گا۔ اور تیرے پاس شیطان نه پھٹکنے پائے گا (ابو ہریره رضی الله عنه نے یه بات نبی صلی الله علیه وسلم سے بیان کی) آپ صلی الله علیه وسلم نے فرمایا اگرچه وه بڑا جھوٹا ہے مگر یه بات اس نے سچ کہی، یه شیطان تھا۔(البقرة: 255) (صحیح البخاری: 5010حضرت عائشه رضی الله عنہا نے بیان کیا که رسول الله صلی الله علیه وسلم جب اپنے بستر پر آرام فرمانے کے لیے لیٹتے تو اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیوں پرقُلْ ھُوَ اللهُ اَحَدٌ…] اور معوذتین [الْفَلَقْ، النَّاسْ] پڑھ کر دم کرتے پھر دونوں ہاتھوں کو چہره پر اور جسم کے جس حصه تک ہاتھ پہنچ پاتا پھیرتے۔ حضرت عائشه رضی الله عنه نے فرمایا که پھر جب آپؐ بیمار ہوتے تو آپ صلی الله علیه وسلم مجھے اسی طرح کرنے کا حکم دیتے تھے۔(صحیح البخاری: 5748)
