Alḥamdu-lillāhi-l-ladhī ʿāfānī mim-mabtalāka bihī wa faḍḍalanī ʿalā kathīrim-mim-man khalaqa tafḍīlā.
All praise is for Allah who saved me from that which He has afflicted you with, and blessed me greatly over many of His creation.
تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھے اس سے بچایا جس میں اس نے آپ کو مبتلا کیا اور مجھے اپنی بہت سی مخلوقات پر فضیلت دی۔
Umar (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever sees an afflicted person and then says [the above], he shall not be struck by that affliction for as long as he lives.” (Tirmidhī 3431)
سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے کسی مصیبت زدہ کو دیکھا اور پھر یہ کہا تو جب تک وہ زندہ رہے گا اس پر وہ مصیبت نہیں آئے گی۔ (ترمذی 3431)
