Allāhumma-hdinī wa saddidnī, Allāhumma innī as'aluka-l-hudā wa-s-sadād.
O Allah, guide me and grant me firmness. O Allah, I beg You for guidance and firmness (on the straight path).
اے اللہ مجھے ہدایت دے اور مجھے استقامت عطا فرما۔ اے اللہ میں تجھ سے ہدایت اور استقامت (صراط مستقیم پر) مانگتا ہوں۔
Ali (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: “Say: [the above] and when you make a mention of guidance, keep in mind the (Straight) Path and when you consider the Straight (Path), keep in mind the straightness of the arrow.” (Muslim 2725)
علی رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: ”یہ کہو: جب تم ہدایت کا ذکر کرو تو (صراط المستقیم) راستے کو یاد رکھو اور جب صراط مستقیم پر غور کرو تو تیر کی سیدھی کو یاد رکھو۔ (مسلم 2725)
